Brighton
I work in the energy unit based in Victory House, a
modern office block at the end of a breezy, bizarrely tropical
courtyard, Trafalgar Square, adjacent to Brighton Station. The
location is convenient - easy to reach by foot, train or bus - and
near to the ragtag collection of shops and cafes that are
Brighton's North Laines.Brighton itself is sometimes called "London by the sea", and has a lot of the buzz of the capital, with a wide range of clubs, plays, music, restaurants, bars, comedy, cinema and sport. You can get to London in 50 minutes, but in summer can also go down to the beach after work. There is a more alternative feel to the city than to London though, with the fashion sense of someone on any given street bound to raise a visitor's eyebrow.
It’s also very easy to get away from the hustle and bustle out into the countryside, with the south downs surrounding the city ideal for biking, picnics or walking off a hangover.
