Inverness
It doesn't feel like I have been here for just over
two years, but since joining Mott MacDonald in 2003 I have enjoyed
working with a great group of individuals and had some interesting
experience in a wide range of projects. The Inverness office is traditionally associated with water and wastewater engineering and during 2004 I was seconded to Scottish Water as a project leader working on a challenging portfolio of projects. During 2005 I have done some harbour and river bank protection work and at the moment am working on two wind farms near Inverness which has provided some of the most interesting engineering I’ve experienced so far.
The small city of Inverness is my hometown and the capital of the Highlands with a population of 60,000. The surrounding area boasts magnificent scenery and many outdoor pursuits... when it is not wet, and for those who enjoy a trek or climb (like me) there are plenty of interesting mountains to choose from and during winter, some of the routes can be rather thought provoking!
