Jyoti Deka

After my studies, I wanted to work with a firm that provided an international work environment and a learning platform for energy consulting. Mott MacDonald was the obvious choice.

I have been involved in projects from their inception as I worked closely with senior colleagues on business development – submitting bids and tenders for new contracts. I now run my own project as a project manager, under the direction of a project director.


I have had the opportunity to manage a Clean Development Mechanism related due diligence study which was aimed at reducing methane leaks from a gas distributing network.

My role was to co-ordinate between natural gas and low carbon teams and I assumed responsibilities for providing reporting support, background research and client interaction.

The best element of working at Mott MacDonald is being among an extremely talented pool of colleagues. The experiences I have had have been a huge stepping stone and with the diverse international project opportunities that are before me, I am assured of achieving my goal of professional excellence in project management.
