Bridges

Tony Watson inspecting a bridgeI am located in the bridges division in the Croydon office. My work over the last few years has been varied and interesting and has included detailed design of new bridge structures, inspection and assessments of existing bridges, feasibility studies, including a long spell on the highly publicised Crossrail project, and more recently a project management role. I am currently in the process of transferring to a site office in North London where I will be the Resident Engineer for a bridge strengthening project, of which Mott MacDonald were the designers.

What I enjoy about working in the bridges division is that it is a friendly team atmosphere, if you don’t know something then just ask and someone will help you. Many of the projects I have been involved in have meant working as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team which enables you to see how the other disciplines work too and how we can help each other.
