Mott MacDonald’s environmental management contains a wide range of experts from almost all environmental disciplines, many of whom are recognised as being at the forefront of their profession. We’re constantly working to ensure Mott MacDonald’s engineering activities are constantly striving towards being environmentally sustainable. The division also undertakes work for external clients, turning our environmental expertise to challenging and rewarding projects of all sizes and character both in the UK and worldwide.

As a graduate joining the team you will be guided into building a broad base of real life environmental skills, after which (should you wish) you will be given every assistance in developing into a particular environmental specialism. One of the real bonuses of the company’s size is the breadth of project work available to junior staff, and the associated opportunity for learning and personal development.

Based on my own experience, you can expect to work within a large group of motivated environmentalists in a friendly and welcoming environment. My work is broad and includes participating in and overseeing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), planning and undertaking complex environmental monitoring, and designing and implementing stakeholder dialogue.
